Why I support Internet.org

<p>As you might have all heard for sometime that Mark Zuckerberg started this organization Internet.org. The point of the organization is to let the world be connected in areas where they don't have internet to connect to the whole world. The video below Mark explains the plan on how internet.org will connect the world.</p>

 Sure that if this works Facebook will win from this idea because Facebook to keep running it needs to have more people connect. But at the same time it will be amazing to see what will happen if this works and what ideas will be turned into reality.

1 hour of Code

<p>
For people who do not know what this is <p></p> its part of HTML code when you want to make a paragraph for a website. Now why I am writing like this because I want people to learn code. In the future their will be more jobs in the tech industry than any other job. But their won't be enough coders to write it down on the computer and many great ideas will never be able to make to the web. Image a world without Twitter or Facebook you won't be able to communicate to the people you care about and people won't know about you. This is why I believe in coding for an 1 hour a day, you don't need to know already a computer language to know to code. All you need to know is how to use a computer, mouse, and the keyboard now go to sites like CodeCademy or any other site and learn the basic of coding for FREE. Now why I am writing this because I also did not know what coding was until I went to college and took a program on it, and I had zero experience. But I learned HTML,CSS and I can now make basic sites. Now I am learning Ruby another language for the computer to try and get a job in the coding industry its never too late to learn to code. Remember to CODE for 1 hour a day and you might change the way we use the computer and connect to the world through the internet.

CTRL+ALT+DELETE My Bad

photo by : IsaacMao

<p>On an interview at Harvard University Bill Gates said that the famous 3 click ctrl+alt+delete was a mistake for Microsoft. That he wanted a one button click to unlock your computer or when it freezes, but someone at IBM said that its better if 3 button were used because if then, it would be harder if you just press and if you did not want to press that button by accident.
But the IBM person that even though he was the one that did that, Microsoft made it famous.

Why Twitter is a Great Way To Connect

<p>Now you all know about Twitter the micro "blogging site" if have not heard about it then I don't know what planet you have been living in all these years. Before to communicate to people you adore or admire you had to write a letter to them and hope that they read it and get a response back from them and not from their helpers. But now with just 140 characters you can connect to a person your really interested in talking. But don't be the "ooo my I am your biggest fan. type of person" ask them how they got to where they are, or where they got their idea from. This makes it more interesting for the person to read because famous people are tired of hearing that your their biggest fan, famous people want to have "real" conversations and not "fan conversations". This is the best way to connect to you follow and want to learn more about them and maybe you might have 140+ conversation with them</p>

<p>Tell me what you think about this in the comments below and tell me if you have had a conversation with someone on Twitter.</p>

We Got an Alert

This week Twitter launched a new feature called Alert, with alert now whenever there is an emergency and all other forms of communication is down. When you tweet from the area that has been affected your tweet will be turned into an alert to the people you want to send to. Now Twitter has said that this feature will be available in country's like U.S.A, Japan, and South Korea. Now that does not mean that the rest of the world won't get this feature, they will but in time.

Organizations that help out when something happens around the world like the Red Cross will be one of the organizations able to use it as well.

Tell me what you think about this in the comment below.

Ottawa is the new Valley

Sure Ottawa is a small city with super friendly people wherever you go. We do not host the big tech giants like Montreal, Toronto and Silicon Valley. But that does not mean that Ottawa will never host or be the next home for tech giants. Ottawa has hosted small and even large tech companies here but not like the other Ontario city yup, you know that one(Toronto). This small city is already hosting leading tech community's like Shopify an Ecommerce Software Solution. Even small indie game developers are growing here in the big O. Ottawa might be the next mobile hub for the Canada or even the world. Since that's where we are heading to mobile computing.

Sure Ottawa is along way to becoming the next Silicon Valley but were not that far from becoming it. I say maybe in the next 5-10 years we will see a big change in the Ottawa tech community. Small indie game developers will become big blockbuster games, small techy community's will become the next big thing.
